About Me
I am a married father of three, based in Sheffield, with three rescued cats and a rescued ex-racehorse. Ready to help your child be all that they can be, I am patient and gentle in approach, and especially sensitive to students who lack confidence. I can tutor in the comfort of your own home or remotely.
My Experience
With years of experience as a tutor, I will work with your child and with yourself, to understand your child's needs and build a bespoke plan to help get your child to where they need to be. We will not just look at your child's current abilities, but we will also look at their motivation and interest in the subject and with a flexible, empathic approach, your child will not just overcome any current issues, but will be equipped for future learning experiences.
With experience of tutoring students with Neurodiversity, ADHD, ASD and Dyslexia.
Also available for Adult literacy and numeracy tuition
My Qualifications
Educated to degree level, with a strong basis in Maths/English/Science/ICT, I have had a successful career in many aspects of ICT, Computing and technology. I have tutored students for many years, and I am happy to provide references from satisfied clients/students.
My Availability
Available immediately, weekends and evenings.
My Fees
- Tutoring from £20.00 per hour
£20 - 25 per hour based on location. First lesson £15 (familiarisation and introduction). Discounts for consecutive hours sessions.

Chris has been an a excellent maths tutor for my son. He is always punctual, pleasant and a very caring person.
He made my son feel comfortable with his excellent communication and understanding skills. He is very thorough with his teaching and has taught my son very valuable mathematical techniques.
I would recommend his services to all as i am sure his teaching methods will pay off for any individual.

My daughter has taken her GCSES through COVID and lock down. She was sooo worried about how she would do, and I couldn’t help her itch any of her questions. Through an old friend I was put in touch with Chris.
Chris has been instrumental in my daughters confidence growing, and the results have followed.. example her English and English literature were predicted 3 and with Chris support she achieved 7s and fell back in love with reading. Chris has helped her confidence immeasurably.
All done remotely and Chris made this work.
Would highly recommend :-)
