My name is Emily and I am 29 years old... I am originally from Bedfordshire and now living in Didsbury!
I absolutely love being apart of helping children to develop and grow and building bonds with them. It is definitely a very rewarding job..and I take pride in providing fun, stimulating activities!
in my spare time I love to travel and try new things, singing, and reading!
My Experience
I have a level 5 foundation degree in child and family studies.
I currently work as a Nanny for a lovely family in Bowden
Before this I worked at a Montessori nursery where I have worked and learned a lot about the Montessori approach and worked in the baby room.
Before this I worked 5 years at a eyfs nursery in the baby room..
During my 5years working at my first nursery I have been lucky to be able to volunteer in Bangladesh for 3 months with ICS where I worked within poor communities to help raise awareness and work alongside people in the community to build awareness on things related to sexual reproductive health rights. we went to schools to give speeches and sessions and also created our own events where we raised awareness on gender equality and child marriage.
I was also lucky enough to volunteer in Sri Lanka looking after rescued elephants in a sanctuary where again I got to experience working with people of different cultures and backgrounds.
I have just recently returned from Au pairing in Italy where I got to look after 3 children and help to follow their routine whilst teaching them English and exploring a new culture.
