My Experience

Since last May, I've been working as a tutor for the National Tutoring Programme (NTP) in some primary schools across Birmingham. I've been helping children from KS1 (Year 1 and 2) to catch up with their reading and maths.

I use Letters and Sounds which is a systematic approach for teaching your child to read using phonics. It is used in many schools in England.

I can teach maths for children in Year 1 and Year 2 using a variety of resources like number lines, objects, games, dices, etc, to make numbers engaging, understandable and fun.

Moreover, I use Numicon which is an approach that helps your child to see connections between numbers. It is a multi-sensory way of learning, which means that your child will learn by seeing and feeling. It is effective, fun and will help your child succeed and enjoy while learning.

I tailor every lesson according to each child needs. I also try to be very supportive and give a lot of positive feedback during my lessons to encourage learning, confidence and happiness.

As Spanish (and Catalan) are my native languages and I have years of experience teaching foreign languages, I can also offer Spanish (or Catalan) tuition, contact me for more details.

My Qualifications

I am a fully qualified Primary Teacher in Spain. I also have QTS.

My Availability

As I work in schools, I am available for private tutoring after school and in the evening during the weekdays.

My Fees

• Tutoring from £25.00 per hour

Fee is £25-30 per 1 hour lesson (price includes planning and transport).
