About Me

Hi, my name is Lydia and I enjoy travelling, learning new things, hiking, running and cycling, working with kids and animals, singing and music... Many things! I've had various jobs over the past 10 years such as being an English Teacher (TESOL) to kids and adults abroad, a Learning and Development Practitioner in a council, and in law enforcement, amongst other sectors. I have two degrees: BA (Hons) Criminology and Criminal Justice and MSc Psychology. I am currently learning coding during weekday daytime hours as part of a course so I am available in the evenings on weekdays and any time on weekends.

My Experience

I have worked with children in a few settings: teaching English in primary and secondary schools in Austria; leading Environmental Education activities with visiting schools and families during my MSc Psychology course; and doing outdoor activities with visiting school groups at YHA. I also have nieces and nephews and love spending time with them (2-7 years old).

My Qualifications

My relevant qualifications are educational; I have Trinity Cert. TESOL certificate and a Young Learners TEFL certificate. I also have an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate which I obtained whilst working with the YHA.

My Availability

I am available in the evenings on weekdays and any time on weekends.
