Meghan
Nanny in Leigh On Sea
My Summary
About Me
Hello families,
My name is Meghan. I am a career nanny/LSA/Governess with 3-4 years live-in experience caring for school aged children, as well as additional ad hoc experience from ages 6 months- 15 years old. Equating to over 5 years of experience. With a particular love for Montessori and Waldorf education and childcare, I have international travel (West Asia) as well as 24/7 hour care for a period of 2.5 weeks in Abu Dhabi, experience with multiples, fully staffed formal houses, and Governess background with the British Curriculum.
I am also an experienced SEN-focused teaching assistant, having volunteered at the British International School in Casablanca. Here, I provided dedicated class, 1:1, and small group support for students with a range of SEN including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, speech and language difficulties, and emotional/behavioural needs. In addition to this this I am currently working full-time at the school as a Learning Support Assistant for a SEN student. I am British with EU citizenship (Cyprus) . I am currently completing a Level 5 Diploma TEFL Certificate.
A bit about me; I love animals and travelling and spend my spare time doing pilates, reading fiction novels, exploring new dining experiences or seeking out the next best matcha spot. I am a city-girl at heart but I enjoy spending time in nature, whether thats at the park, beach or forrest. My ideal day would be spent walking through the city, exploring markets and shops and ending with a movie night at home. I am married and have a tailless rescue cat called Mowgli. I am a practising Muslim.
I show initiative for proxy parenting, and emotional intelligence for hands-on help alongside a parent. I am organised, empathetic and resilient, with many transferable skills from other sectors I explored before falling in love with my career as a nanny/governess.
I am relocating back to London having spent a year in Morocco, and I am seeking live-out part-time nanny, governess or tutor work. I am ideally looking for around 30 hours per week, preferably over 3 or 4 days. I am flexible with the schedule of these hours. Please do reach out if you have any questions.
Kind regards,
Meghan
