About Me
Qualifying with a PGCE from Sheffield Hallam University in 2018, I have 6 years experience as a secondary school Art teacher. I have previously been a Head of Year and I have experience of managing difficult behaviours, working with children with SEND needs and I have undergone extensive safeguarding training to be a school Designated Safeguarding Lead.
I enjoy working with and looking after children and I am enthusiastic about each child’s development. I am keen to build positive relationships with the children in my care whilst also remaining professional at all times.
My Experience
Tutoring experience -
I have taught Art at key stage 3, GCSE and A level, and have experience of teaching to the OCR and AQA exam board criteria. I am able to teach a multitude of art techniques including drawing, painting, sculpting and printing, as well as teaching children how to describe and analyse artist's work and create their own meaningful responses to fulfil all assessment objectives.
I have experience of working closely with children with social and emotional difficulties, children with ASD as well as various other learning difficulties.
Babysitting -
I have several years experience of babysitting before I got into teaching. I looked after children between the ages of 3 and 11.
