Megan
Nanny in East Cambridgeshire (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
I am active, live a healthy lifestyle and love to keep busy. I am tidy and organised, and very accustomed to completing household chores. I enjoy engaging with children and encouraging them to laugh and play while developing their life skills. My hobbies include reading, baking, getting outside gardening and going for walks.
I have just finished an undergraduate course in Psychology with counselling, and am looking to increase my work schedule from mid August/September onwards.
My Experience
I first started caring for children throughout my sixth form studies. I nannied for a family of three children, between the ages of 5 to 10 years old, for just over a year. My roles included the school pick-up, preparing meals, aiding with homework, keeping the house tidy, caring for the family dog, ensuring the children had completed chores, and occasional weekend/half-term days out.
Currently, I work across 5 families throughout the week.
I have been a nanny for one of my current families since March 2024, with two children aged 2 and 8 months when I started. I work on an ad-hoc basis, with regular weekend/week long bookings caring for the children when the parents are away. I look after the children at their home, with trips to the park, farm, and other fun places the children like to go to! I am well clued up on their daily routines, including their school and nursery drop offs/pick ups, nap schedules, meals, bottles, and bedtime routines.
My regular weekly bookings include a family of 3 boys every Monday afternoon/evening. I started with the family September 2025 when the boys were 2 years old, twins, and 6 years old. I collect the boys from afterschool club and childminders, and go through their dinner and bedtime routines. I provide a range of dinners for them, engage in imaginative play and outside activities, and tidy as I go. Additionally, I provide ad-hoc day/evening care for this family when needed.
Regularly, Wednesdays are booked with a family of 2 girls aged 3 years old and 10 months. I began working with this family in April of this year. During the day, I drop off their eldest at nursery and primarily care for their 10 month old. We attend play groups, go to play cafes, take trips to parks and nature reserves and spend a lot of time outside. I occasionally have both girls during the day on an ad-hoc basis, allowing the parents to fit in extra work when required. I am well clued up on both of their nap routines, meals and meal prep, and bottle schedules when required.
I have additional experience with a family that I started working with at the beginning of 2025. Their child was 15 months old when I joined them, and again, I have extensive experience in preparing meals, aligning with nap schedules, and arranging fun activities and days out at the library, park, or down by the river, watching the ducks, trains, and boats go past. I am with this family every Thursday, with the occasional ad-hoc day during the week/weekend.
Thursday evenings I regularly provide a mother's help role to a family of 2 boys. During my time with them, mum is always around, with my presence supporting with dinner prep, meal time, and bedtime routines.
I offer ad-hoc days to all of the families I work with, with additional babysitting services if wanted. I work on a first come first serve basis in regard to the ad-hoc and babysitting, so ensuring everyone is booked in as soon as possible is key for keeping each family happy with my services.
My favourite activities to do with the children include reading stories, engaging in role-play games, singing and dancing, promoting fun and educational activities, and being outside as much as possible, either playing in the garden, visiting parks and farms or going on adventures led by the children. I absolutely adore each and every child I care for, and strive to provide my upmost support towards every family.
As well as caring for the children, I will always aim to leave each home as I found it. I regularly tidy as I go, tidying away toys, laundry, washing up and any meal time mess that we have made.
My Qualifications
I have nine GCSEs, including Maths and English, and 2 A levels.
I have an enhanced DBS and am First Aid and Paediatric First Aid trained.

Since first meeting Megan in early 2024, she has become an invaluable part of how we get from one week to the next. With super easy communication from the very beginning, she is a wonderfully calm and supportive presence in our family ecosystem. She is brilliant with our son. She is so switched on to what makes him tick, picking up cues and anticipating his needs. He absolutely loves her and is always excited to see her. I was initially a bit nervous about leaving our son with somebody who wasn't family. Megan was so patient and understanding, working with us to find what would work best. Not only is she great with our son, she has been brilliant at helping me transition back to work as well as getting our son settled in nursery. Knowing that my son is safe and cared for by an experienced, creative, reliable and engaging childcare specialist means the world.

Megan has been with my family for 2 years, my two sons, now 2 and 4, absolutely adore her. She is always on time, and 100% reliable. We trust her with our children completely and our home. Megan leaves our house like a show home and my boys are always so happy when she comes, they always have the best time with her. We always say she’s like our very own Mary poppins and we adore having her as part of our family.

Unfortunately Megan proved to be unreliable and left us in a difficult position.

Thank you for your feedback. I apologise for how our working relationship ended. As communicated, due to unexpected changes to my personal schedule and availability, I was no longer able to accommodate the childcare you required. I wish you all the best in finding a childcare provider who can fit with what you need.
