About Us
Based in the beautiful village of Barlestone, First Steps Playgroup has been providing a warm, nurturing and exciting learning environment for the Children of Barlestone and surrounding villages for over 50 years.
Your first two sessions are free, with the choice to have a stay and play/ settling in sessions, or just to have a look around the setting.
A free flow setting offering a wide range of new and stimulating activities, using the concept of 'Hygge' to support and promote children's well- being, behaviour, learning and development, with a home- from- feeling.
We offer flexibility to suit your needs as parents, offering mornings (9am- 12pm), or afternoon sessions (12.30pm- 3.30pm) or alternatively full day sessions. We will accommodate any changes to sessions if there is availability.
Our highly trained and experienced staff enjoy taking our Children around the local areas to explore nature and to offer new and exciting experiences, inclusive of all needs and development of the children as individuals.

- Childcare from £12.00 per afternoon
- Childcare from £26.40 per day
