About Me
I'm a bubbly and ougoing person, I love working with children. I’ve now been working with children for around 16 years. I have a 9 week old son, a 4 year old daughter and 2 step sons 9 &11. I really enjoy doing messy and creative activites, like gloop, painting, singing and days out.
My Experience
I have worked in childcare for around 16 years now, I started working in Day Nurseries, I then went on to Nannying and I’ve now been back in Nurseries since having my own daughter, who is now 3years old.
I currently work full time but I’m looking for a position which is part time, that would allow me to bring my youngest with me.
I’m not currently OFSTED registered, but have been before and would be willing to re-register if needed.
My Qualifications
CACHE level 2 Certificate in Child Care and Education - merit
Advanced Apprenticeship in Childrens Care Learning and Development
NVQ level 3 in Childrens Care Learning and Development
BTEC level 3 in Childrens Care Learning and Development
12 hour paediatric first aid course, which lasts for 3 years.
I have a full uk clean driving License.
I have a also completed a number of other courses including safeguarding, and food hygiene.

Gemma used to pick up my sons from school/pre-school and cared for them during my working hours and business trips.
Very quickly Gemma found her marks by showing patience, attention and care. She also managed to keep a good discipline and safe attitude while outside the house which was a challenging job with two lively boys.
Within a few weeks in her role I noticed considerable progress in my younger son’s speech thanks to her professional and attentive approach.
Gemma is particularly gifted at art and craft which she loves doing with the children. She also enjoys outdoor games including football which made her very popular in our house.
Mainly Gemma is a great help as she is very reliable and organised.
I can thoroughly recommend Gemma as a nanny.
Overall
I employed Gemma to babysit my two children (ages 5 & 4) on New Years' Eve. We agreed on a mutually acceptable hourly fee for New Years' Eve and arranged for Gemma to come to my house to meet me, as well as my children.
Even though I had met Gemma only the once prior to her babysitting, she was completely at ease and interacted with the children the minute she came through the door. After leaving a few instructions about bedtimes, etc. Gemma was left from 7:45pm thru to just after 1am and had no problems whatsoever. On my return, she informed me what time the children had gone to bed, and whether there had been any issues at all.
After chatting to my children in the morning, they both really liked Gemma and would like to see her again. So based on how at ease I was about Gemma and her abilities, and of course on the say so from my experts (!), I will definitely be using Gemma's babysitting services again. Thank you Gemma!
