Hi there,
I am a primary school teacher based in Leamington Spa. I have two years of Early Years-KS1 teaching experience in UK state schools, and have early childhood teaching experience in both state schools and a Reggio Emilia pre-school in Auckland, New Zealand. I love working with young minds and little personalities!
I currenly teach Year 1 pupils so I am only available during longer school holidays, but can help with evening babysitting at weekends (if workload allows!).
My Experience
I am a qualified primary school teacher with a PGCE in Early Years education from the University of Warwick. I have teaching experience in the EYFS, however I have significant experience in teaching KS1 and have most recently taught Y2 over the last academic year.
I have worked in the New Zealand education system for the last two years as SEN Learning support at an Auckland Primary school, in Before/After School Care at a different Auckland Primary school, as an Early Childhood Teacher at a private daycare in South Auckland, and finally I home-schooled children from an essential working family during NZ lockdown 2020 (children: 18 months, 6 and 10 years old). I also hold a Child First Aid certificate as well as safeguarding credentials.
My Qualifications
PGCE Early Years. BA. Hons. English Language and Literature (University of York), A levels: AAB, GCSE: 10 A*-C, St John's Ambulance Child First Aid Certificate, Safeguarding and Child Protection, UK and NZ DBS check.
My Availability
I work full time, however am available throughout the school holidays, evenings and weekends for casual babysitting.
