After School Provision Needed For Charming Boy With Sen Needs
About Me
My name is Regitze and I have a boy called Harry who is 6 years old with additional needs. He is the happiest boy and is very sociable. We are looking for an after school provision in the week time - this could be only a couple of days if that’s all you can provide. We are flexible in terms of days and happy to discuss this with you.
Training for Harry’s needs would be fully provided. Harry has no behaviour issues but does have medical needs such as a gastrostomy, epilepsy and specialist seating. Harry is non-verbal but uses his own way of communicating with the world around him. Although being young he does require hoisting and there is a hoist in place in the home. Ideally a person with special needs experience or nursing experience would suit this position well. Please do get in contact to discuss further if interested.
The person would need to be Ofsted accredited and DBS checked.

My Requirements
I'm looking for a nanny, childminder - a safe and positive person who can help and support my son. All training needed in regards to his medical needs can be provided. Harry goes to school full time in the day but needing support after school club.

I got in contact with Ruthie as I was looking into childcare options for my boy with additional needs. Ruthie was quick to make contact and offered to come around for a coffee to help me go through what options is available and what would suit our family and our boy best. She offered genuine and honest support based one her extensive experience working with families over the years. She also had a very good insight to financial options. I would recommend Ruthie for anyone who may need family support and want to understand more about the different options available for families. As a mum of a child with complex needs it was very reassuring to find that Ruthie was not faced by this and just saw my boy as the person he is rather than being alarmed by the additional needs.
