After-School Nanny / Babysitter Needed for 2 days/week for 2 Children (Aged 2 & 5) – Balham
About Me
We are a friendly family based in Balham looking for a reliable, warm, and proactive After-School Nanny or Babysitter to help us with our two boys (aged 2 and 5).
My Requirements
We are looking for help 2 to 3 days per week.
Hours: Approx. 4pm to 8pm (8-12 hours per week).
Days and hours are flexible and can be agreed together.
Main Duties:
Light household tasks related to the kids before pickup (e.g., prepping a snack for the children, tidying up play areas, setting up toys).
Receiving kids at home (I usually pick them up myself) or occasionally picking them up from school/nursery at 5:30pm (both are close to our home).
Managing the evening routine: serving snack, bath time, and getting them ready for bed.
Playing and engaging with the children in a fun, safe environment.
Ideal role for university students or candidates with a day job looking for regular part-time evening hours.

Belén started working with our family when my little one was only 3 months old and he liked her from the first moment. She has been part of our family since and took charge of all the main care duties such as of bottle feeding, weaning, sleep routines and activities. She is a fully reliable person and I always felt very comfortable leaving my little one with her, she is a lovely presence to have around and I would strongly recommend her!
Tatiana has been our full time nanny for a year now and I feel like I found gold. I was really worried to leave my 1 year old to go back to work full time but the second she walked through the door he liked her immediately and that hasn't changed since. She is a natural at her job, she took care of him through happy days, tantrums and sick days, she found lots of activities for him in the area or even made up her own when we were stuck at home on rainy days. She cooked him delicious meals at home every day and taught him to eat by himself. The only reason she'll be leaving us is that we got an early spot at the nursery we like but if I could still keep her I would. I already feel jealous about the next family who will have the pleasure of having her.
