About Me
I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder. I have a warm and welcoming home that children and parents are always delighted to come to. I enjoy cooking and this comes in as a bonus to my childminding. I am a loving, happy and caring child minder and a mum to three, now grown boys (32, 17, 14). I love caring for children and young people and I have enjoyed every moment spent with them, watching them grow into these amazing people, from childhood into adulthood. I love to sing to children and support their learning and development from birth. I consider the children in my care and their families, part of my family.
My Experience
I have been a Registered Child Minder since 2012. Prior to becoming a Registered Childminder, I have always looked after children including mine. I have over 32years of experience looking after children. As much as I am experienced, I still keep up to date with children's learning development and I make sure I tailor each care given to each child, to suit them to ensure their needs are met as individuals.
My experience has thought me that every child is unique and what works for one child will not necessarily work for another child, therefore, I get to know each child and treat them as the unique individual that they are. The more time i spend looking after children, the more amazing it is to see children develop. They grow from not knowing much to knowing soo much! I am still fascinated in delight by how they learn so quickly, develop and grow so beautifully. Throughout their development, I make sure that every moment is shared with their parents and carers.
I work in partnership with the best child minders in my local area to provide every child in my care with the best child minding service, so this means that they are involved in lots of activities and outings that contributes to their learning and development. I also follow the guidelines for the Early Years Foundation Stage, Ofsted and my local council, to ensure that every child grow happy, healthy and have the foundation they need to reach their highest potentials. In cases where they go to school, I work in partnership with the schools. We go for library visits, nursery/school visits, visits to Farms, Zoos, Theme Parks, lots of walks, Park visits and many more. My children are involved in reading, counting, arts&crafts, and many educational activities.
My Qualifications
I have a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate, Safeguarding children and adult certificate, Level 3 qualification in Food and Cookery. I have numeracy, literacy and IT skills.
My Availability
I am available for work between 6am and 9pm Monday to Friday and overnight care. You may contact me for emergency childcare.
