About Me
Hi! I’m Joana, I’m 26, living in London with my parents. I studied Child Psychology at university and graduated in 2021. Following that, I was a full-time nanny for a few months whilst waiting to be accepted into my current job, whilst also working at an estate agency every Saturday for 4 years to keep myself busy and gain experience. I'm currently looking for some occasional/adhoc babysitting to do as I have a full-time job and work different hours.
I adore kids and have always wanted more younger siblings just so I could look after them!! I can give you references for previous families I have babysat for, and I can assure you, your child/children will be in very safe hands with me! Both of my parents are Portuguese, although I was born and raised in London. I speak fluent Portuguese, and can understand, read and write a bit of Spanish.
My Experience
Since I was 17, I’ve babysat for neighbours and families I know local to me. I have done morning drop offs, afternoon pick ups, fed the children, bathed, played with them and put them to sleep. I’ve looked after children between the ages of 2 to 12. I've helped out many families whilst I was studying at University. I've volunteered to help out in two primary schools in London whilst I was studying, in which I played with the children, read with them and helped them with their work.
My Qualifications
I have 6 GCSE's from grades A* to C in subjects Portuguese, Spanish, Maths, English, Science and Geography. I have a Distinction Merit in Level 3 Media Studies which is equivalent to two A-Levels. I have a First Class Degree in Child Psychology which I finished in 2021. I am First Aid trained.
My Availability
I have various constraints on my time and I am not in a position to work full-time for any specific customer. I will only be able to babysit on an occasional basis. On the days that I am available, evenings will frequently be a possibility!
