About Me
Hello, my name is Codie. I’m a reliable, caring, and experienced Ofsted registered Childminder.
My setting is a home from home environment. I have the living room as the main play area and is set up with a variety of resources for children to explore, including accessible toy shelves, books, musical instruments and a large, comfortable sofa with soft toys and blankets, creating a lovely space for relaxing, reading stories and spending time together.
I also use my kitchen for lots of fun, hands-on experiences such as baking and cooking, giving children opportunities to explore different ingredients, textures and tastes while developing their independence and confidence.
For imaginative play, I have a dedicated role-play area with a toy kitchen, buggies and dolls, and an ice cream cart, allowing children to use their imaginations and develop their communication and social skills.
I have a large garden with plenty of opportunities for physical play and exploring outdoors. This includes a swing, slide, ride-on toys, sand and water play, as well as space for children to run, move and develop their gross motor skills.
I am also very lucky to have a park just a 2-minute walk away, with a duck pond and plenty of opportunities to explore nature where there is a wooded walkway.
The area is quiet and away from main roads, providing a peaceful environment for children. There is also plenty of convenient parking.
I live with my partner Tom and occasionally my partners daughter who is 6 years old as well as my friendly black lap cat Sabrina.
Tom works in the office as an administrator 8:30am-5:30pm and mostly will not be in the house in childminding hours.
I love getting out and about with the children to library, shops, swimming, soft plays, farms , parks and nature walks so that the children can explore the world around them interacting with nature and developing their social skills and their confidence.
I use rear facing car seats and have business car insurances.
I live close to Cressing primary school however I am not providing after / before school care at this time.
I am truly passionate about what I do and have a deep love for working with children. I believe in creating and nurturing a deep bond with every child that is in my care and feel incredibly grateful to be apart of their journey as they grow, develop and learn about the world around them.
My approach is centred around fostering confidence, independence, kindness and respect.
I can use simple baby sign language to help your little ones communicate and promote inclusivity.
I am knowledgeable on child development and tailor each activity to your individual child depending on their interests and to build on their learning / development to encourage your child to reach their milestones.
Examples of activates I provide are painting with cars, crafts, baking , reading with homemade props, teaching children to cook and setting up messy play and sensory trays.
My Experience
I have 9 years of experience working with children of different ages and stages of development, and I have always had a genuine passion for supporting children to learn, grow and feel confident.
I have experience caring for babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children, including children with different personalities, routines, interests and individual needs..
I have experience with everyday childcare such as mealtimes, preparing healthy food, baking, naps, nappy changes, potty training, personal care, getting children ready to go out and supporting their daily routines.
My Qualifications
I currently hold the following;
-Enhanced clear dbs that is on the update system
-Level 3 Paediatric First Aid
-Level 2 Childcare Qualification
-Driving Licence and Business Car Insurance
-Public Liability Insurance
-Food hygiene
-Safeguarding Training
-Early years development training
My Availability
Days - I am open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays all year round contracts only.
Hours - 8am - 5pm being my core minimum hours at the moment I have all days available
Holidays - I take 4-5 weeks holiday spread across the year.
Sickness - it is very rare for me to take a sick day but in the event I do and have to close you will be refunded the full amount.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £16.50 per hour
- Childminding from £8.50 per hour
£8.50 per hour for childminding fees
£10 a full 9 hour day if using funding to cover outtings, petrol, breakfast and snacks
£15 a hour after 6pm or before 8am
£16.50 a hour babysitting at your home

Codi has been an absolute lifesaver for our family. She is punctual, attentive, and incredibly responsible. What sets her apart is her natural warmth and patience; our baby is always so happy and well-cared-for when she's here. We’ve been working with Codie for the last few months and she is phenomenal! She takes such good care of our 14 month old daughter. She’s researched various activities she can do with her in our area. When at home, she keeps her engaged and happy all times! Our little one loves Codie and it gives us the peace of mind we need when leaving her with Codie.

Codie has been baby sitting my almost 2 year old for a while now, when I first met her I knew she was perfect for my daughter. My daughter has never been left before with any one else si this was a massive step for her and I. Codie is not only professional but kind and amazing with my daughter and son. I couldn't think of any one better to trust with my children and I do not take such a job lightly. I would one hundred percent recommend codie to any one and I am looking forward to watching her and my daughters bond grow even more. I know when I leave my daughter with codie she is in exceptional care. Codie is a great baby sitter, excellent at communication, punctual and great with My children. 100% 5 🌟

Codie has been coming twice a week for 2 hours to look after my 9-month-old baby while I’m at home. While she plays with him, I’ve been able to get more done around the house that I would otherwise struggle with, so she has been really helpful. She also helps me feed him with the food I prepare. I know my baby feels very comfortable with her, and he is always happy when they spend time together, which gives me peace of mind. She has been punctual and flexible with the timings when my baby has been sleeping. I would definitely recommend her as a babysitter or nanny.

We cannot express just how much our 2yo daughter has loved spending time with Codie over the past 8 months! It brings us great joy to see her face light up when we say Codie is coming to play!
Codie is exceptionally professional and capable, including recently helping us with delights of toilet training! She is thoughtful about planning her days with us, spending time at home if we needed but also exploring parks, zoos and soft plays. She plans activities such as baking, crafts and painting or water play.
She is on-time, tidy, communicable and flexible, and you can see the passion and care she has for children. Would thoroughly recommend!

I’m so grateful to Codie for everything she has done for our family as our nanny for the last 15 months+. She’s treated our children with such love and care, consideration and with a lot of two way communication about their development and our relationship. I have two very lively boys ages 6 and 4 who are by no means the easiest! She’s been my 4-year-olds nanny for almost 18 months and has also looked after my 6 year old during the school holidays. She plans the most amazing days out for my children on her own initiative. Everything from farms to soft play to climbing to swimming to the cinema. She’s actually been working with my 4 year old to learn phonics and how to spell and recognise his name, really helping him prepare for school in a fun and supportive way - this is so sweet because it’s given him confidence for when he starts school completely unprompted from us. She is incredibly responsible and takes the utmost care of our sons: she is kind and thoughtful. Not least, in over a year she’s never called in sick or ever been late (of course we understand you can be unwell, but she’s never let us down). She’s a pleasure to work with, is a kind and lovely person and I’m so happy to have got to know her during this time. My children are starting school from September and we’re sad to see her go. Warmly recommend Codie to anyone.

Codie has been a fantastic addition to our family’s support system. She has a naturally warm, calm and approachable presence that our children immediately responded to. Our eldest, a lively toddler, bonded with her very quickly and clearly enjoys her company. Codie has also cared for our baby during my KIT (Keeping In Touch) work days – she approached bottle-feeding and weaning with confidence and kindness, and even prepared homemade snacks that both children loved.
We’ve done a number of settling-in sessions and have had the chance to observe Codie interacting with the children first-hand. She is engaged, nurturing, and calm under pressure – everything you’d hope for in a trusted babysitter.
We feel very lucky to have found Codie and are looking forward to continuing to work with her as our children grow. She’s been reliable, communicative, and clearly very experienced with little ones. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to other families.

Codi babysat for our 3 year old and in her own words Codi is ‘very very amazing!’.
Codi is punctual, friendly and very trustworthy. She made us all at ease immediately and my little girl was playing with her straight away. She can’t wait to have her over to play again soon! I’m so glad we found her!

I used Codie for my 11, 7 & 2 year old and she was amazing with all of them, my toddler doesn't usually warm to people so quickly but she adored Codie and my older two have asked for Codie to babysit again in future. She brought puzzles and boardgames round to play with the older children which they really enjoyed, she also brought round her qualification certificates a few days prior for our peace of mind and so she and the children could familiarise with eachother. We will definitely be using her again in future and would 100% recommend her to anyone else looking for a babysitter 🙂
