Nanny in Dacorum (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
Hi, I’m Tilly, I’m 23 and currently training as a Nursing Associate, qualifying this June. I’m a very happy, confident and positive person who loves being around children of all ages, from babies to older kids. I enjoy spending time outdoors, going for walks, and planning fun, engaging activities.
Although I’ve loved my training in healthcare, I’ve realised my passion is working more closely with children in a home environment where I can build strong, meaningful bonds and support their development day-to-day. This is why I’m now looking to move into a full-time nanny role.
I’m friendly, chatty and approachable, and I find it easy to build trust with both children and parents. I’m also currently learning to drive and hope to pass later this year.
My Experience
I have a strong background working with children and families. I’ve spent the last 2 years working on a paediatric ward as a Student Nursing Associate, and prior to that I worked on the same ward as a Healthcare Assistant. This has given me extensive hands-on experience caring for babies, children and young people with a wide range of needs.
I’ve also grown up in a home where my mum is a foster carer, so I’ve always been around babies and children of different ages and backgrounds. This has helped me develop a natural understanding of children’s needs, patience, and the ability to adapt to different personalities and situations.
Through my experience, I’ve developed skills in:
• Monitoring children’s health and wellbeing
• Supporting feeding, hygiene and daily routines
• Recognising signs of illness or distress
• Basic life support and emergency response
• Communicating with children in a calm, reassuring way
Alongside my hospital experience, I worked as a nanny for nearly 2 years for a family with three children aged 1, 7 and 12. In this role I:
• Planned fun and educational activities
• Managed daily routines, meals and bedtime
• Supported school runs and homework
• Built a strong, trusting relationship with the children
I also have experience as a home care assistant for the elderly, which has strengthened my patience, responsibility and caring nature.
Additionally, I hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
My Qualifications
I have GCSEs in Maths and English, along with further studies in Psychology and Criminology, giving me a strong understanding of child development and behaviour.
I also hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care. I am currently completing my Nursing Associate apprenticeship specialising in paediatrics, which I will qualify in June 2026. This includes training in child health, safety, and basic life support.
My Availability
I will be available full time from the end of June.
From now onwards my availability will be limited due to finishing my course.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
- Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)
£12-16 per hour (depending on duties ie wether it’s nannying or babysitter and number of children) happy to discuss this.
