About Me
I am happiest outdoors: I like walking, cycling, swimming, generally exploring, and also - growing flowers and veg. Indoors, I like baking, and wool crafts. I am also still trying to finish renovating my small cottage, and garden.
I have two grown up children and have been living in this area for five years, while working part time at a school in Edinburgh. Now, I am looking to work more locally instead.
I am a friendly, reliable, kind and supportive person. I am flexible and willing to help in any way I can. I am very interested in people, and especially in young children, whose company I really love.
My Experience
I qualified as a primary school teacher in my 20’s, and worked for three years with classes of 7-8 year olds. I was always interested in why school did not work for some children. When my children were young I attended a Steiner Waldorf kindergarten teacher training course, and then worked as a kindergarten assistant and then kindergarten teacher for the next 16 years, in Steiner Waldorf schools in Moray and Devon. I now work as a co-ordinator in a Steiner School.
