About Me
I was educated at Blundell’s School, a leading independent boarding school, where I studied through to A-Level, giving me first-hand insight into independent school academic standards and interview expectations.
My teaching style is structured, calm, and encouraging. Lessons are carefully planned and tailored to each child, with clear explanations, guided practice, and achievable next steps. I work particularly well with children who are capable but anxious, lacking confidence, or who struggle to perform under exam pressure.
I believe tutoring should be supportive and confidence-led, helping children feel secure, motivated, and prepared for exams and interviews.
My Experience
I am an OFSTED registered nanny. I’ve cared for relatives and ad hoc childcare roles for over two years.
I am a also specialist primary tutor with over two years’ experience supporting children aged 5–11, with a strong focus on 11+ and independent school entrance preparation, alongside English and Maths. I also teach LAMDA.
I have experience preparing pupils for 11+ exams, KS1 assessments, and independent school entrance tests, working across English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning, and Non-Verbal Reasoning. I am familiar with GL Assessment, CEM-style papers, and ISEB pre-tests used by leading independent schools.
Alongside academic tutoring, I am a qualified LAMDA tutor and public speaking coach, supporting children with spoken confidence, reading aloud, and mock interview preparation. I tutor LAMDA students on a regular basis for graded exams.
