About Me

Hi all,
I was a nursery nurse at a large private nursery, I passed all my childcare qualifications in college at 17 these can be produced on request, after my exams when I was 17 I went straight into a job within a private nursery, moving to a big chain nursery in Sheffield in 2018 till 2024. I was in all rooms there gaining experience for all ages from newborn to pre school, and moved up from nursery nurse to room leader during my time there. I moved to work in the pharmacy department in the children’s hopsital in Sheffield in 2024 to explore a different career and for a change to be able to gain new skills and experience. I am still dbs checked which is regularly updated as part of my new job role and I have also climbed from pharmacy assistant to a lead role while here.
I am looking to find babysitting roles to keep in touch with the part of me that loves, misses and cares for helping, guiding and teaching children.
I am one of 7 children and have helped with my 4 younger siblings as long as I can remember, as well as my severely autistic 11 year old sister, helping and guiding her through life and learning with her along the way.
My sister is none verbal autistic, so I have a large amount of experience with autism at home and at work whilst also understanding there is always something to learn and adapt to with autistic children and taking families advice and rules around their own children very seriously to avoid anything going wrong. I also know when to ask for help so if I ever felt out of my depth I wouldn’t hesitate to ring or text to notify family and ask for advice or for their return home early.
I currently babysit two families who I have babysat for long term since I looked after them while I was working at the private nursery, one family I babysit for sit in with them whilst I play with and entertain their eldest child, who’s visually impaired, while they get on with work from home and household chores, and another family’s two children while they go out for the evening. I have built a rapport with both families so they feel comfortable with me and confident in my abilities and care I provide their children.
I am willing to do light housework and cooking.
I have a car and have been driving since 2018 to present, safety is not a issue and I am happy to take the child/children to the park, after school clubs, to and from school ect. However I do work at the hospital Mon, wed, thurs, fri 9-5, 10-6 on Tues and 10-1 on Saturdays.
I really want to help others where I can while enjoying what I do during my spare time from work.
I think with the right family I could offer fun, love, support and hopefully gain trust and respect.
Sheffield based, willing to travel around Sheffield. Based in Eckington at the moment but looking to move closer into town hopefully and based mainly around broomhill area in terms of coming straight from work.
