About Me

Hi, I'm Mollie!
I'm an experienced childcare professional with over 10 years of experience working with children of all ages, from babies through to school-aged children. Throughout my career I've worked in nurseries, progressed into nursery management and supported several families as a nanny. My nanny roles have been wonderfully varied, from supporting PhD students who needed reliable childcare while completing their studies, to caring for the children of an Olympian whose training and competition schedule required complete flexibility, consistency and someone they could trust implicitly. These experiences have taught me the importance of building strong relationships with families and adapting to each household's unique routines and lifestyle.
I'm also a proud mum to two wonderful boys – Hendrix (6), who has additional needs, and Freddie Bo (3). Being their mum has taught me so much about patience, flexibility and seeing the world through a child's eyes. It's given me a real appreciation that every child develops differently and deserves to feel understood, supported and celebrated.
I'm an outdoorsy person through and through and love helping children discover the world around them. Whether it's woodland walks, trips to the park, farms, museums, libraries, soft play or simply splashing in puddles, I believe children learn best when they're having fun and making memories. I've also supported Forest School sessions, which strengthened my passion for outdoor learning and encouraging confidence, resilience and curiosity through nature.
Music is another huge passion of mine. I play the saxophone and also enjoy playing the guitar and bass guitar (or at least I give them a good go!). I love sharing music with children through singing, dancing, instruments and plenty of laughter. When I'm not working, you'll usually find me camping with my family, exploring somewhere new or making the most of the outdoors.
Although I've enjoyed progressing into nursery management, I've realised that what I love most is working closely with children and building genuine, lasting relationships with families. I'm now looking for a role that offers more personalised, one-to-one care while giving me a little more flexibility around my own family life. I love becoming a trusted, reliable extension of a family's support network and helping children flourish in a happy, nurturing environment.
I'm available from early mornings and am happy to be flexible wherever possible. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, I would need to collect Hendrix from school and Freddie Bo from nursery at 5:30pm. If you occasionally need me to work beyond this time, I'm more than happy to do so—I would simply bring your children along on the school and nursery run before continuing with the evening. I'm also available for evening babysitting, overnight care (when arranged in advance) and happy to work weekends where needed.
As a mum myself, I love the idea of building genuine relationships with the families I work with. Where appropriate and with your agreement, I'd be delighted for my own children to occasionally join us on outings or activities. I think it's wonderful for children to build friendships, enjoy new experiences together and create lasting memories, while fully appreciating that every family is different and this would always be discussed in advance.
Families describe me as warm, approachable, calm and energetic. I bring extensive childcare experience, nursery management, safeguarding responsibilities, Forest School experience and, above all, a genuine love for helping children learn, explore and enjoy childhood.
I'm looking forward to finding a family where I can provide a safe, nurturing, fun and stimulating environment while creating lots of happy memories together.

My Experience

My experience includes working as a nanny for several families, alongside many years in preschool settings and nursery management, caring for children from infancy through to school age. I've supported families with a wide range of lifestyles, from PhD students balancing their studies to an Olympian whose demanding training and competition schedule required complete flexibility, reliability and consistency.
My approach to childcare is centred around the individual child. I believe children learn best when they're engaged, interested and having fun, so I spend time getting to know each child's personality, interests and stage of development before planning activities that capture their imagination.
I'm passionate about child-led learning and love making everyday experiences educational without children even realising they're learning. Whether we're out exploring nature, baking together, building with blocks or reading a favourite story, there are always opportunities to develop language, confidence, problem-solving skills and independence.
Having worked with children of different ages, I'm confident adapting activities so siblings can all be involved. A single activity can easily be tailored to each child's developmental stage, allowing everyone to enjoy the experience together while learning at their own pace.
I'm experienced in establishing routines, supporting sleep, preparing healthy meals and snacks, school and nursery runs, potty training, behaviour guidance, and promoting independence through everyday tasks. I've also supported children with additional needs, adapting my approach to meet each child's individual strengths and requirements.
Above all, I believe childhood should be filled with fun, adventure and feeling safe. My aim is to create a warm, nurturing environment where children feel secure enough to explore, ask questions, grow in confidence and enjoy every stage of their development, while giving parents complete peace of mind that their children are happy, safe and well cared for.

My Qualifications

I have a Level 3 qualification in childcare,
I have paediatric first aid certificate,
I have an up to date DBS on the update service,
I have extensive training in all aspects of safeguarding, children's learning including the EYFS, health and safety as well as experience of looking after my own two children and helping with all aspects of running a home including cooking and cleaning.

My Availability

I'm available from early mornings and can be flexible to meet your family's needs wherever possible.

On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, I would need to collect my own children—Hendrix from school and Freddie Bo from nursery—at 5:30pm. If you require childcare beyond this time, I'm more than happy to continue working. I would simply bring your child(ren) along on the school and nursery run before returning to your home or continuing with planned activities.

I'm also available for evening babysitting, overnight care (when arranged in advance) and weekend work. I'm happy to discuss regular or ad hoc hours and will always do my best to accommodate your family's schedule.

For the right family, I'd love to build a long-term relationship and provide reliable, consistent support. Where appropriate and with your agreement, I'd also be delighted for my own children to occasionally join us on outings or activities, giving the children the opportunity to build friendships and enjoy new experiences together. This would always be discussed in advance and only if it suited everyone.

Mollie is the best

5 stars

Mollie is a great person and fantastic nanny. She is helping me with my 6 year old who is full of energy and ideas:). He is looking forward to every time she is coming.
Mollie is so friendly and professional that I could not wish for better care for my son. I am so truly happy that I found her. She is kind but knows how and when to set the boundaries, which I really appreciate.
She is helping also with homeschooling, has a lot of ideas for play and learning, taking him to the parks.
That is my first experience with a professional nanny, as Mollie has all the qualifications, and I hope she will stay with us for long time. She is a tremendous help for me.
And her little son is the cutest, smilest little gem.
I only regret I haven’t found her earlier. :-)

Mollie is a lovely, bright and bubbly person, no baby can resist her smile. She's got great ideas for play and how to entertain or handle a cranky baby, all around energising to be around. :)
