About Me

Hi! My name is Pilar and I am an experienced Early Years educator based in Cambridge, with over 10 years of experience working with children in both school settings and as a nanny. I have experience working under the EYFS framework and supporting children’s development in structured Early Years environments.

I currently work in a school setting, which has strengthened my understanding of child development, routines, and supporting children’s learning, behaviour and emotional wellbeing. I also have experience with Montessori-inspired and active learning approaches, and I am a strong believer in child-led, play-based learning that encourages independence and curiosity.

I am a native Spanish speaker and have extensive experience working with international families. This has also given me a good working level of Italian and French. My language skills are a real asset when supporting multilingual children, and I am confident in helping children thrive in bilingual or trilingual environments.

I have previously supported language development in a trilingual household (Spanish, French and English), helping the child naturally acquire all three languages through daily routines and consistent communication.

I do not have a car, but I have a bicycle with a child trailer, and I have experience safely transporting children using it, including school runs and local trips when appropriate.

I hold an up-to-date DBS check and I am available for new roles starting in September. Ideally, I am looking for a position with children under 6 years old, where I can fully apply my Early Years experience. However, I am also open to after-school roles with older children, including homework support and structured activities.

I am reliable, caring and creative, and I always focus on building strong, trusting relationships with both children and families.
