My Summary
About Me
Hello! I'm Lauren, a warm, reliable and organised nanny based in London, currently looking for a summer position after recently finishing a fantastic three-year role with a lovely family.
I genuinely love helping children learn, grow and build confidence through play. Whether that's getting messy with arts and crafts, baking together, reading stories, exploring London's museums and parks, or creating sensory activities tailored to a child's interests and needs, I aim to make every day engaging, nurturing and fun.
Outside of work, I love reading, cooking, exploring different parts of London, painting and sewing, and spending time with my cat. Families describe me as calm, dependable and creative, and I pride myself on building strong, trusting relationships with both children and parents.
I'm passionate about creating a safe, happy environment where children feel supported, encouraged and able to thrive, and I'd love the opportunity to become part of your family's journey.
My Experience
I'm an experienced nanny and former SEN Teaching Assistant with over ten years' experience working with children of all ages, from newborns through to teenagers. Most recently, I spent more than three years as the sole-charge nanny for two wonderful girls, caring for them from birth and supporting every stage of their early development.
My specialist area is supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Before becoming a full-time nanny, I worked as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant within an Autism Unit, providing one-to-one and small-group support for children with autism and other additional needs. Throughout my nannying career I've also cared for children with ASD, non-verbal children, children with complex medical needs, severe allergies and EAL learners, tailoring activities and routines to help every child flourish.
I have extensive experience with newborn and infant care, sleep routines, weaning, toilet training, sensory play, homework support, meal preparation (including allergy-friendly and specialist diets), administering medication, organising engaging outings and creating fun, educational activities at home. I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate, Paediatric First Aid certification, and have completed safeguarding, autism and PREVENT training.
My Qualifications
I have a DBS certificate, a CRB check, and am trained in Epipen Administration, WRAP, WRAT, BlueSky, Autism training, and Child Safeguarding.
My Availability
I'm very flexible, and am currently looking to take on as much work as possible.
