Day before the interview Maddy cancelled as she had an important ‘meeting’ to attend. We rescheduled the morning at 0930 - she did not attend. We waited for 20 minutes. I then called Maddy she did not pick up. Few minutes later after attempting to call Maddy, she messages me ‘Hi I'm so sorry for not letting you know sooner, I've found work at my original asking rate so I will no longer be interested but I hope that you find someone’. This is very unprofessional and unacceptable messing families about. What would have been professional is to inform us your ‘meeting’ was another interview with another family, and it is clearly in your rights to attend many interviews. Honesty is key. I wish you the best and I hope you learn from this.
