About Me

I am a friendly and dedicated teacher. I can tutor in maths, English and computer science across Key Stages 1, 2, 3 and 4. In computing, I also tutor at A level.

My Experience

I have been tutoring and teaching for over 25 years. I have a valid DBS (on the DBS Update Service), and have taught young people across all groups and abilities. In addition, I have helped young people successfully pass their SATs, 11 plus, 13 plus, as well as their GCSEs in English, maths and computing. Furthermore, I have helped students successfully pass their A level in computers/ICT.

My Qualifications

I possess a MSc in social science, a BSc in Information Systems, plus a QTS. Furthermore I have 5 Diplomas in Cobol, C, Pascal, IT and Book-keeping. In addition, I have a TEFL, Teaching Online Specialism, Excel Master, Advanced grammar, ECDL qualifications and certificates, as well as a Diploma in Educational Psychology and Advanced Level 5 in SEN and Sign Language.

My Fees

  • Tutoring from £34.00 per hour

At primary level the hourly rate is £34 for KS1 and £35 for KS2. For secondary school students, the hourly rate is £37.50 for KS3 and £40 for KS4. Students studying computer science or ICT at A level, is £42.50 per hour. For 11 plus the hourly rate is £35. The hourly rate for tutoring also includes setting and marking homework. I presently tutor online.
