Hi there!
I am Rishika and I'm a Medical student at UCL.
I have prior experience with students between ages 6-16 and feel that I have good interpersonal skills and confidence in working with others (which I have developed through my role as Head Girl at Dr Challoner's High School and through experience in the medical world).
For tutoring, I believe in 'smart learning' which is all about finding the most effective strategies for your learning style. 'Smart Learning' helped me to achieve 10 level 9's (A*s in the old system) at GCSE, and I would love to help my students to do the same, whilst keeping sessions light hearted, fun and engaging!
I would also be available for working with younger children for informal/ non exam purposes.
My Experience
For over 5 years, I previously tutored and mentored both primary and secondary school students with a range of abilities and therefore feel confident in adapting the session to suit your child's age, ability and personality. I have also worked in an 11+ tuition company with year 4 and year 5 children.
My Qualifications
Academic:
GCSE Level 9's in: Maths, English Language, English Literature, Geography, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Spanish, PE and Religious studies.
A levels: Maths, Spanish, Biology and Chemistry: 3A*s and 1A
Years 1 + 2 of medical school complete at University College London (UCL)
Additional undergraduate degree to be completed in Sports and Exercise Medicine by June 2024
Pastoral:
DBS check complete
Basic Life Support training complete
