My Summary

My Experience

I’ve grown up the eldest in a house with 5 younger siblings, so I know how to care and play with children of all ages. I’ve had work experience in schools as well as home experience with the young ones during remote learning through the pandemic. I love cooking, baking and reading too. I am a vegetarian, and have plenty of experience cooking for myself and others.
I have been babysitting as my job for over a year now, working with multiple families and children of all ages.
I am currently learning BSL, which I believe can be very beneficial for children to pick up, especially those under the age of 5. It offers a different way for children to communicate their needs, which has proven to be very efficient in children with communication or speech difficulties. I am an advocate for BSL, and I am excited to see it arrive at a GCSE level in schools shortly.

My Qualifications

I am currently tutoring primary school children in schools with a charity that provides educational support for children of disadvantaged backgrounds. For this, I’ve obtained an enhanced DBS check and completed a thorough safeguarding course.
I am currently studying Biochemistry at University, and once I have my degree, my next step will be to get a PGCE and go into teaching.
At the moment, I am doing a Level 1 BSL course which teaches me the basics of sign language, once completed I plan to move on to a higher level.

My Availability

I work on a first-come-first-serve basis for childcare shifts, so the more notice I have the better. Please get in touch if you have any questions :)
