An Absolute Gem of a Childminder

We truly cannot recommend Helen highly enough. From day one, our daughter had absolutely no issues settling in, which gave us immense peace of mind. Helen is simply wonderful and has been an integral part of our daughter’s early development.

Helen keeps the children busy with outdoor adventures every single day, no matter the weather. Her outings are thoughtful and diverse, including regular visits to the library and an elderly care home, which we have absolutely loved. As a result of these library trips, our daughter has developed a love for books.

We have also seen incredible physical and communication milestones:
-Her physical development has skyrocketed; she now loves walking and her gross motor skills have improved drastically.
-Her speech and vocabulary have come on so well during her time here.

Helen’s themed weeks are brilliant. For example, the other week the children were learning all about bees. The activities were so creative, including:
-Making beautiful bee pictures
-Hunting for bees hidden in playdough
-Sensory play with bees, wooden flowers, and pasta shapes

What we love most is that Helen effortlessly adapts these activities for the different aged children in her care, ensuring our daughter is always fully engaged and learning at her own pace.

We always feel completely connected to our daughter's day. Helen sends daily photos alongside a lovely update on how she slept, what she ate, and other important bits of information from across the day. On top of that, all the meals provided are nutritious and home-cooked, and the cost of food is conveniently included in Helen's fees. She is so organised and reminds us about what we need to do for the childcare funding. She works it all out and stays on top of it, so we don't have to.

We Will Miss Her Immensely!
Our daughter loves her time with Helen so much that she would happily stay for longer if she could. Sadly, we are moving out of the area and have to leave. Helen is truly one of a kind, and we know we will find no one else quite as good as her. If you are looking for a childminder who goes above and beyond, Helen is the absolute best.

Professional and conscientious childminder

Our little girl went to Jo from 9 months till 2 years and she absolutely loved it. Jo provided a very safe environment which was perfectly set up for learning and play. She had a lovely big garden and a special area in the house with a play area. The activities our little girl did were very educational and often there were themes. For example, in Autumn the children were encouraged to explore items like pine cones and leaves. The words were spelt out clearly and she did art and craft activities around that theme. It was clear the Jo plans out the days really well and she learnt a lot with Jo. The development reports were also very thorough and helped us as parents to know what to help our girl with at home.

Lovely and caring childminder

My little girl started at Jess’ when she was 9 months and stayed until she was 2. She absolutely loved Jess and the other children. The activities she took part in were varied and Jess often incorporates outdoor adventures to the ducks or play parks. I think this might be why my little girl has a love of climbing! She made this wonderful scrapbook with all their adventures in which helped us as parent to feel part of the days we were missing. Overall, I would highly recommend Jess if you are looking for a home from home setting for your child and one where they will be loved and cared for.
