Hello, my name is Jess and I am a newly ofsted registered childminder in the gravesend area (kings farm)
I am living in a pet free and non smoking environment with my partner.
I able to collect and drop off children to Holy Trinity Primary School. If this care is provided I will give the children breakfast and a light tea after school.
Having worked in the nursery setting and been a nanny, over the 10 years of my childcare experience I feel I have learnt what a parent would like from a setting. I am offering a friendly, clean, warm environment with a home from home vibe. I have a huge garden where the children can create memories, get active and chill out by the paddling pool in the summer. There are lots of local parks in my area for us to visit and explore on a regular basis. We will also visit the library and attend groups to enhance their social skills. I will provide a wide range of activities to do indoors to ensure I am meeting your child's needs, from quiet time in the book corner reading their favourite book to getting inventive in the craft corner creating a master piece to send home. I value each child and their needs and will do my best to ensure your child feels safe and happy in my care at all times.
I will provide in my fees a range of healthy meals, you will be given a four week menu of the food in which I will be providing and the snacks they have been given.
My Experience
I have been in the childcare field for 10 years. I started my journey in college where I achieved top grades and Cache Diploma of childcare and education, whilst at college I attended placements which enabled me to work in a home environment being a nanny, in a preschool setting, a primary school and working close with children with special needs.
When leaving college I worked in a nursery for 5 years where I firstly moved around the rooms to build up experience, I decided to settle in the baby room which focuses on ages 3 months-15 months. When in this room I worked my way up to being the room leader.
I moved on to becoming a nanny which I have loved, it has given me the opportunity to work closely with families and give one to one care to children. Since being a nanny I have had the pleasure of working with a new born all the way to a teen. The families I have worked with have all been different and many different ethnics. Two of the families I have been with have had twins which is a whole different challenge I had to endure. Being a nanny I have gained confidence and have regularly had to cook meals, help with potty training, do the school and nursery runs and been the children's stand in mum whilst their parents go to work. I have created such great bonds with my families that I still see them regularly and help with babysitting.

Cache diploma in childcare and education level 3.
Paediatric 1st Aid.
Child Protection.
3 As levels C-E
Enhanced DBS Check
Public Liability insurance
Member of PACEY
Ongoing safe guarding training

- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour

My little girl started at Jess’ when she was 9 months and stayed until she was 2. She absolutely loved Jess and the other children. The activities she took part in were varied and Jess often incorporates outdoor adventures to the ducks or play parks. I think this might be why my little girl has a love of climbing! She made this wonderful scrapbook with all their adventures in which helped us as parent to feel part of the days we were missing. Overall, I would highly recommend Jess if you are looking for a home from home setting for your child and one where they will be loved and cared for.
