We are a family of three, with a love of creativity, nature, and learning.
We are looking for a part time nanny to help look after our baby for 16-22 hours per week over 2.5 days (start time tbd), either Tuesday and Wednesday, or Wednesday and Thursday, or else shorter hours across all three days.
Ideally we'd like someone who can do 4-6 hours on a weekend morning or afternoon, but we are aware that many nannies and babysitters would like the weekend for a rest!
Our baby is nearly 1 year old, and she is a curious, sociable and happy person. We want to continue to nurture and encourage her to explore the world and grow into herself.
The perfect candidate will:
- have previous experience with babies of this age and an understanding of baby/child development,
- have an up to date DBS check and public liability insurance and first aid training.
- have great references.
- be a gentle and encouraging presence who genuinely enjoys being with a curious little human, and you will also have initiative to help her grow and develop joyfully through exploration and play.
- Has had a full set of COVID vaccines (including a booster), and is willing to take regular lateral flow tests, as we have vulnerable relatives that we are trying to protect as best we can.
Responsibilities will include time in sole charge of the baby, spending time outdoors, playing, taking her out to regular and new activities (we try to find ones where social distancing is possible), and/ or using your own initiative and experience to encourage her development through play, plus feeding/napping/changing, paying attention to her interests and nurturing them.
