About Me
Hello, my name is Martina, I live in Mare Street and I am Italian! I am currently looking for a part-time nanny role, I aim at 20-25 hours per week but I am flexible.
I moved to London in August 2019 and I was a live in nanny for 3 years with the same family. I looked after two kids, a boy who was 3 years old and a girl who was 8 years old at the time I arrived. I normally played with them outside or with Legos, cars, puzzles, board games, we would draw, paint, do DIYs and I’d take them to the park and museums quite often; I also did nights, cooked for the family and cleaned.
About 3 years ago, I moved out and stopped being their nanny, unfortunately, since then I’ve been offering multiple childcare services with kids of all ages, but especially babies under 1yo.
I have experience with bottle and solids feeding, meal prepping, changing nappies, giving baths, entertaining without screens with toys, books and songs, putting them down for naps, resettling, going on walks around London or to soft play, baby cafes and farms, and in general respecting their routine.
I am very organised, I usually plan daily activities/outings in advance and try to find new regular things to do weekly, unless the parents have requests, obviously. I like to come up with a development plan with the parents' help and follow it long term, if that’s something they’re interested in, I find it very helpful for everyone.
I always try to create a routine around the parents’ needs so that we can collaborate helping each other. I’m happy to do house tasks like cooking, cleaning and laundry while the baby naps, for example.
I was also a night nanny for a newborn from when she was 2 months old to 8 months old and never had problems.
In my spare time, I like to watch films, listen to music, read, paint, visit museums and learn new things!
My Experience
I have 6 years of professional experience with kids from 2 months old to 12yo.
My Qualifications
I am first aid trained, attended a course on paediatric first aid & obstruction and an online one regarding different childcare topics.
My Availability
All day during the week and just the evening during the weekend. I am flexible so can do different days/times each week based on parents' necessities.
