About Me
I am a third year London School of Economics student, studying law. I am originally from Sudan but have attended boarding school in the UK and now continued onto university. Being in boarding school I learnt a lot about caring services, I was a College prefect, with a First Aid qualification, so I had to take care of all the young boarders on a daily basis. This included helping them with physical elements such as homework, and organizing their rooms and mental elements such as being like an older sister who they can confide in and depend on when in need of anything.
For the past year I have babysat for two families throughout the summer and part-time during term-time. I have taken care of children from ages 4 months to 12 years old. I am comfortable with making healthy, child-friendly meals, and I can help with all the chores and schoolwork.
My Experience
In secondary school I was a crèche volunteer who took care of babies and toddlers of staff after school, this includes feeding, cleaning, changing them and nap/play times. Moreover, in college I was prefect and was looking after 20 girls on the daily who lived in my boarding house, ensuring they have attended meals, kept their rooms clean and did their school work. Lastly, I have almost been a full time nanny for my new baby sister as my due to my stepmom’s nature of work she was not able to take much time off. Dealing with a newborn has instilled within me many valuable skills, I learnt how to take very diligent, yet careful care of children.
My Qualifications
I have a first aid certificate, alongside almost 7 years of informal experience.
