About Me

Hi I am Becki, I’m 33 and a Mum to a 21 month old. I am a highly qualified childcare provider of 17 years, a qualified primary school teacher and a private Governess. I have dedicated my working life to providing high quality education and play.

I am offering a cozy home for toddlers similar age to my 20 month old, I have lots of creative sensory play trays, arts & crafts, playgroup outings and the local woods to explore. I have a lovely outdoor space too so playing can happen outside in all weathers!

I have a gentle, caring approach to working with children and often praised for my ability to quickly settle children in. As a mum myself now, I understand the need for wanting your little one to feel safe and loved, who I can then nurture to thrive in my
care.

From babies as a live in nanny, to teaching English in townships in South Africa, to working for the ‘Ultra high net worth families’ of Athens, Greece as a Governess! My worldwide childcare has provided me with a deep depth of knowledge and experience working with a range of children from all sorts of backgrounds, and at the heart of it all understanding children and families and their developmental and individual needs.

I am passionate about my career and enjoy getting the children outside in all weathers to explore the world around them! I believe in a holistic approach to learning and love to get creative! Now as a mum myself I’d love to bring all my experience to my home and share with children in the local community.

I love to encourage reading, curiosity and asking questions and will often base activities around books. I have a lending library for children to borrow books and if I don’t have it we will go to the library to find a book on their interests! I will then encourage project based learning to get that depth in knowledge on their subject.

I am now registered with an agency and was inspected and passed with no actions to take! I also passed my inspection with Sandwell council with no actions to take!
