My Experience

I found a lovely family that needed childcare help. The ages were 3 and 5, two joyful girls. The babysitting taught me how to deal with unexpected situations. When taking care of a baby I learnt you had to be alert in order to keep up with the needs of the baby, being present to oversee the baby is also vital.

Furthermore, I have added to my experience by taking on a 100 hour placement in a nursery. This showed how organised I am, as I had to work around my timetable and sort out the work experience myself. Working at the nursery meant I had to be alert to different situations and find a way to handle the problem. I got offered a place at the nursery therefore started working there and have worked there for 7 months.

I have also worked with another family in Westminster who was very lovely and welcoming. I used to take my 2 year old son with me with their consent and they were more like a family. I cared for 2 children one aged 2 and the other aged 7. Both were very lovely and sweet kids. My job was to pick them up from school/nursery and take them home to make them something to eat till theirs parents are back from work. Had to leave due to travelling an hour there and back otherwise they were on the sweetest family i met.
