My passion is providing support for children with additional needs and helping families with strategies and everything else that helps looking after a child with special needs.
I have a Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support that I achieved after 2 years of studying my apprenticeship.
I love spending time with my family, cooking and going on walks with my dog.
I am currently working full time as a Specialist Family Support worker in the children’s disabilities team for a local council. My job allows me to build relationships with parents and offer them respite from their caring roles.
I have extensive experience working with a range of different children from new born all the way up to adults including those with additional needs.
I love my job and I am always learning new things. I am dedicated and passionate about supporting children whether that be through basic subjects or life skills such as turn taking, communication and social integration.
I am hoist trained, behaviour support trained and I have experience with personal care and supporting children with their feeding.
I have worked with children and young people with disabilities for the last couple of years and I have knowledge of a wide range of disabilities including: Autism, ADHD, ARFID, GDD, Cerebral Palsy, PDA, Down Syndrome, OCD, LD and other complex diagnoses.
I have behaviour support training and hoist training allowing me to support those who have additional and complex needs.

My Experience
I have been casually babysitting for friends and family for as long as I can remember. I am always at the kids table at parties and happy to help relatives and friends looking after their little ones.
I worked at a SEN secondary school in Morden for 3 years whilst training for my qualification.
I also have experience working with young adults in a SEN college.
I have a 4 year old goddaughter and an 18 month old nephew who I have been looking after since they were both born. This includes weekends, half terms and overnight babysitting.
I have the following training/qualifications:
- DBS
- First Aid
- SEN training
- Trauma informed
- Communication training including PECS, AAC and Makaton
- Assessment writing including letters of support for DLA and Housing
- Hoist training including personal care
- Behaviour support training and strategies to help support
My Qualifications
I have a health and social care qualification.
I have been first aid trained by St John’s Ambulance and have 4 years experience volunteering at Volunteer Police Cadets which allowed me to keep my training up to date.
I have great time management skills and I can cook and clean and provide a healthy, safe and enriching environment for children.
I am a volunteer with Pets as Therapy alongside my dog Ben and I also volunteer with The Fantastic Freddie Foundation which is a charity for young people with disabilities.
My Availability
I work full time Mondays to Friday and I am available after 5pm on these days. I am available for weekend day sitting and evening.
I can be flexible with my working and I have the odd day off that I can fit in for the right family.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
- Nannying from £20.00 per hour (gross)
My fees are inclusive of all children of all needs and requirements. Extra charges for late night shifts, holidays, bank holidays and weekend.
