About Me
Hi I’m Shannon (Muddy footprints childminding). I’m a mum to four of my own children and they love having lots of children around and joining in with my mindees - the minded children truly become part of our family.
I have a always loved working with children and have over 10 years experience . I have a keen personal interest in children’s psychology, Montessori values, holistic play, outdoor learning and open ended toys.
I live in Wollaton and have an open plan kitchen/diner with a lovely play space. We have a large garden which has an enclosed area for the younger children , a large grassed area where the children love to play football and other ball games and also an allotment space at the top of our garden too which we like to spend time playing , digging and exploring.
During the day we enjoy visiting local parks, playgroups, the library and spend lots of time outdoors.
My Experience
I have had 11 years experience in schools as a teaching assistant which was mainly in early years before becoming a childminder in January 2022.
I have worked with children from lots of different backgrounds, who have English as an additional language and with varying additional needs too.
Having 4 children of my own also gives me lots of experience with different age ranges.
My Qualifications
Full paediatric first aid qualification
Safeguarding training
BTEC National diploma in children’s care, learning & development.
My Availability
My hours are 7:45-5:00 (additional hours can be arranged ) , for drop off and pick up from Middleton Primary School only , term time and school holidays are available too.

As of September I will be Co-minding with another experienced childminder to work as a team - she currently has availability for 1 child under 5 (mon/tues/weds) and together we have the capacity to expand our before and after school care too.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
£6 per hour before school
7:45 am drop off
£46 per day - funded hours provided too
7:45-5:00pm
£10 after school pick up
Up until 5pm
£13 up until 5:30
I do have availability for school holiday care only too.
