About Me
I’m a 24-year-old graduate from the University of York who’s living in Earl’s Court.
I have recently moved back from working in Canada where I taught outdoor education for a company called Alive Outdoors and led canoe expeditions for up to 6 days for children from 7-16 where I was often the only adult or working with only one other adult.
I have also been working with children as a babysitter since I was around 13-years-old and have police background checks I’d be happy to share.
I’ve always been very academic, achieving 10 GCSEs and completing the International Baccalaureate program with 40/45 points. My degree was in Natural Sciences specialising in Biology, and I am planning on attending a masters program at either UCL or Imperial come September. This means I’m more than happy to help with homework or tutoring as well as nannying/babysitting.
My Experience
I worked as a Camp Counsellor, looking after 10-13 year old girls. I was specially trained for helping children with special needs that varied from anxiety and adhd to motor stereotypies.
I also worked as an outdoor educator and canoe expedition leader for 2 summers/autumns and with Alive Outdoors programs with school groups.
I’ve tutored Maths and English to both a 7 and a 10 year-old boy. As well as GCSE biology, chemistry, physics and geography, and A-level geography and biology.
I am a sailing and windsurfing instructor and have taught and been responsible for children from age 5+.
I’m a good cook, so would be happy to make dinners or lunches.
