Courtney
Babysitter in Ely
My Summary
About Me
Hi, I'm Courtney.
I am a Bank Staff Nursery Practitioner on Mondays in early years settings, across Cambridgeshire.
I have almost finished Level 2 Childhood Studies & Psychology with the Open University and have a strong interest in child development, behaviour and supporting children's emotional wellbeing. I will finish my degree in 2027.
I'm a calm, patient and intuitive person, and I naturally connect well with children. I aim to create a safe, consistent and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable, supported and understood.
I have a particular interest in supporting children with additional needs, including ADHD and autism, and I take a gentle, child-centred approach. I also hold a Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems, which strengthened my understanding of emotional wellbeing and how to support children in a sensitive and informed way.
I'm friendly, reliable and easy to get along with, and I'm looking for part-time babysitting or mother's help roles where I can provide attentive and caring support.
Please contact me on WhatsApp for enquiries.
My Experience
I am currently building my hands on experience in a variety of childcare settings around Ely and Cambridge, as a Bank Staff Nursery Practitioner, supporting children in their learning through play and daily routines.
I have previous and current babysitting experience, including caring for children of different ages, multiple children at once and managing routines independently supporting with evening routines, and over night stays, creating a calm, safe environment.
I also completed a babysitting course with Cambridgeshire County Council when I was younger, which gave me a good foundation in basic childcare and safety.
Alongside this, I am almost at the end of studying Level 2 Childhood and Youth Studies & Psychology with the Open University, where I am developing a strong understanding of child development, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing and will complete my degree next year. I have also completed Level 3 Education and Training, as well as training in SEN (including ADHD, autism and dyslexia) and hold a Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems.
I also have personal experience supporting a child with additional needs, which has given me a deeper understanding of patience, routine, emotional regulation and adapting to individual needs.
I bring a calm, patient and reliable approach, and I am confident in supporting children with play, routines, and creating a safe and positive environment. I am always happy to adapt to each child's individual needs.
