About Me
I am a hard working individual and I have the ability to work on my own initiative or can work effectively as part of a team. I have a very dedicated work ethic and devote time and effort to tasks with a can-do attitude. I am a naturally cheerful, capable, adaptable person with a sense of humour.
Once I know what a child’s interests are I will think carefully of how to capture their attention to enhance their development and learning. Using my creative skills and imagination some of my ideas have included an Arctic expedition, sailing on a pirate ship to find buried treasure, travelling through Europe by train and braving crocodile invested waters! One of the most treasured moments is when a child is able to read their first sentence independently and sharing their achievement of doing so. Being outside with children and teaching them about wildlife and the environment around them is one of my favourite pursuits to do or participating in making a mud pie! I am mindful, respectful, always willing to lend a hand, comfortable with animals and love to travel.
My Experience
I have substantial experience of working with children in various childcare contexts in both educational and social settings.
I have found great satisfaction and feel privileged to be part of each child’s life that I have had the pleasure to spend time with throughout my career. I have a genuine passion of assisting with children’s development in their learning journey particularly in the early years.
My Qualifications
I have formally trained and qualified in several areas in relation to the care and development of children of various ages including a BA in Early Years Education.
I have experience working with children of all ages from nursery school to secondary school.
