Hi I'm Ruwayda and I'm a 22 year old psychology student at Glasgow Caledonian University. I have recently graduated in BSc Honours Applied Psychology with a first class grade. I've always loved working and being surrounded by children and describe myself as being a very determined, bubbly, enthusiastic, motivated and empathetic person. My mum ran a registered childminding service for 4 years so that gave me an insight to how things were ran and the skills needed to provide a service to children of all backgrounds and ages. In my free time I love to do art which helps me be creative.
My Experience
I have had plenty of experience with children of all ages through voluntary work at Hillhead primary, Nursery and Notre Dame High school. I've also had plenty of experience with toddlers and younger ones through my own siblings. Working alongside the children has strengthened my insight in how different age groups are and act during certain situations and its made me more aware of how to deal with certain things that arise whether thats emotional issues or in terms of how they communicate and play. Studying psychology has also given me an advantage at how to handle children better in terms of how they think and what their interests are therefore I'm able to take the appropriate approach in dealing with them in a fun and comforting way.
My Qualifications
I have achieved a Higher National Diploma (HNC) in social sciences at City of Glasgow college ( I have uploaded my certificate but it hasn't been added to the system yet) and a Bachelors honours degree in Psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University
