About Me
Hi! I’m Amy, I’m 20 years old and a second year student at Leeds Arts University, I love working with children, and have worked with them for two years now. Nannying and Babysitting are good ways for me to save up for my future whilst enjoying a job I genuinely enjoy.
A bit about me: I’m very creative, I do an art degree and I like music and playing instruments, I’m also very imaginative which definitely helps when working with kids! I’m very patient and understanding, especially with children, it’s so hard for them to have such big emotions and not be able to communicate them, so patience is definitely a quality I’m grateful to have. I’m happy to get stuck in with anything really, lego, board games, drawing or colouring, arts and crafts, playing outside, working with kids is so fun!
My Experience
I worked in a childrens holiday club in schools over the past two summers and absolutely loved it and the kids were so fun to work with. I led a range of arts based and sports based activities, and enjoyed providing fun for the children. We worked with some SEN kids so I have experience with ADHD and children with autism, however only high functioning and verbal children. I am keen to learn if your child has more needs than this. I worked with kids age 4-11 but am quick to learn if you have younger children. I would love to gain experience with children ages 1-3! I was also a part time nanny for two children aged 3 and 5 whilst they required in home childcare.
My Qualifications
Whilst I don’t have any professional qualifications, I did apply to university originally for social work, i had to go through 5 different university interview and assessment processes where i learnt a lot about working with children, and their emotional needs. I am fully DBS checked to work with children and have worked with them in schools for 2 years. I was also a part time nanny for two children aged 3 and 5 whilst they required in home childcare.
My Availability
I have a changing university schedule but can communicate this in advance. Currently I’m unavailable on Tuesdays before 4:30pm.
