About Me
I am a 22-year-old student looking for work alongside my degree. Having been a babysitter and tutor throughout my teenage years I feel comfortable taking responsibility for helping with whatever the family needs whether it be helping with homework, making dinner for or simply just playing games with the children. I am flexible and able to be there at short notice if needed, alongside being free before and after school and at weekends. I am extremely organised and very good at following instructions to a T. Further, I love being active and am an ideal candidate for children that never run out of energy!
My Experience
I have babysat children aged between 2 and 11 and tutored children between 11-16. Because of this I feel comfortable with all ages. My babysitting mainly consisted of evening work, feeding the kids tea and putting them to bed. With tutoring I would work with groups of three children in school helping them with their maths through the school year.
Alongside this, I did work experience in a nursery when I was 16 in which I worked in the baby room, toddler room and older children room making sure my knowledge and actions were appropriate for all the varied ages. With the younger children, I had to partake in feeding them, cleaning up afterwards, helping put them down for naps and entertaining them indoor and outdoor. With the older children, it was more focused on helping them with reading as well as assisting with their arts and crafts work and outdoor play.
As well as my childcare experience, I have also worked in waitressing, cleaning and dog walking which have increased my responsibility and ability to multitask whilst doing a job effectively.
My Qualifications
I am DBS checked and once I have finished my degree I aim to gain my PGCE
