About Me
Hi, I’m Cara, I’m a nanny based in Felinheli in North Wales. I have been a nanny for 7 years, and have experience with children from 7 months to 12 years old. I love working with kids, and am passionate about helping children reach their full potential. I love planning and arranging activities such as messy play or treasure hunts and also spending time outdoors. I can often be found splashing in a muddy puddy or going on a bug hunt! I take pride in creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment, tailored to the individual needs of each child. I have a full driving license and my own car.
My Experience
After qualifying with NVQ Level 3 qualification in Children’s Care Learning and Development, I started my career as an Early Years Educator in a nursery with children ranging from the ages of 0-5 years old. I have an interest in supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and so also trained and worked as the nursery Special Educational Needs Coordinator.
I then went on to work as a care assistant for children and young people with a wide range of additional needs such as autism, ADHD, PMLD and speech delay. . This experience deepened my understanding of inclusion, communication, and adaptive care.
I then went on to become a private nanny. Early in my nanny career, I had the privilege of nannying for 7 month old twins and their older sibling, which was so much fun and definitely strengthened my skills in multitasking, individualized support, and managing the dynamics of caring for multiple children at once!
Together, these roles have shaped me into a patient, confident, and highly attentive childcare professional. I am kind, caring, organised and hardworking. I love working with children and with my experience I feel as though I have a lot to offer.
