Passionate and caring childmider

I strongly recommend Sara as childminder; she is warm and approachable. Sara looked after my children who were at different stages, one being a toddler and another a baby. A lot of thought went into the "settling in period" to ensure that the transition was gentle for the children, which I really valued.

The activities the children engaged were refreshing, there was an intentional focus on using natural materials, and spending time outdoors. Sara takes a child-centred approach and was able to incorporate culturally relevant activities and took a collaborative approach to our children’s development.

Sara's clinical background also put me at ease as I knew the children were in capable hands should anything medical arise.

Poor communication

We never got round to viewing the setting even though Emily had said she had a space available and that she was checking her schedule. Despite calIing several times to confirm details/viewings, I didnt' hear back from her until several weeks had passed, only to be told that the place had been taken (Via text)

I am slightly shocked by this feedback given that we communicated on 11th July, and some of your comments are factually incorrect. you enquired about availability, I said I "may" have a space in September. You then asked for my Ofsted number, which I provided, and you thanked me for a swift reply. I later explained to you that one of my families has increased their hours, so the space was no longer available. in-between our 8 messages, there were no calls or unanswered messages between us. it's important to say that I have a small setting, priority is always given to my existing families, and a viewing of my setting would never ever be offered if a space was not available. I'm sure you appreciate that parents' schedules change. Work commitments can differ, and I try to accommodate this as best as I can with my existing families. If this means that a space is not available at your request, then I apologise for that, but priority sits with my families and children. I do hope you have luck in your search for childcare that suits your needs

Couldn’t ask for better childminders!

Sarah and Federica are excellent childminders; they are approachable, friendly, kind and patient.

My child has been attending their setting for about 6 months and is developing tremendously. Sarah and Federica are highly committed to the children they look after.

The two things I appreciate most about their approach is how creative they are and the level of thought that goes into each day’s activities, whilst still achieving the required EYFS. They are also open to ideas and suggestions and take a collaborative approach.

I also appreciate how much they promote cultural inclusivity and diversity in the materials they use.

I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an intimate and professional setting!
