About Me
Hi, I am a medical student at the University of Glasgow with lots of childcare experience! I love animals (my fiancé and I have adopted a lovely greyhound called Bramble!), music, running, board games, reading, tea, and travelling. I have a previous degree in Education and Music from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where I graduated with a first class honours degree. I am from the Isle of Skye and play piano, violin, and sing. I am fully PVG disclosed and love working with babies, children and young people. I have experience looking after a range of ages and will happily fit around your family's schedule.
My Experience
I am currently in my third year of medicine at University of Glasgow, this is my second degree. My first degree was a teaching degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where I achieved a first class honours degree. I have worked in a secondary school for three years teaching music to children as a qualified secondary school teacher.
I have over 8 years of teaching experience of classroom teaching, private teaching and tutoring. I am comfortable caring for and supporting children with additional needs. I have an active and child-centred approach - playing games, talking to your child, going outside and getting out and about. I am available as a tutor, babysitter and childminder.
I have previously au paired in Luxembourg and lived in as an au pair taking on domestic responsibilities such as cleaning and meal preparation. I am great with animals and am happy to work in a home with animals. I am also flexible and will do my best to cater to you and your family's needs. I have a full PVG disclosure and can supply references. I have excellent communication skills and love children. I am hoping to be a paediatrician once I graduate!
