About Me

Hello I’m Rhi, I’m 26 years old.

I would describe myself as patient, kind, understanding, positive and calm but fun!

I have always loved caring for others, people of all ages. I feel I can understand people well, and it comes naturally to me to look after others.

I really enjoy being around children and providing care for them. Growing up with younger siblings, means I am confident taking care of children and making sure their needs are met. Making sure they’re happy, comfortable, have eaten etc.

I have always chosen jobs that involve providing care/support to others. After I left school, I completed an apprenticeship in a primary school, achieving a level 3 qualification as an early years educator. I worked in a reception class, so ages 4-5 years old. I also worked 1:1 with children with additional needs.

My other jobs have included being a support worker for young adults and children with learning disabilities. Out in the community, attending activities, daily tasks and home support.

My most recent jobs have been teaching assistant roles, ranging from pre school to year 5. I’ve worked in a SEN classroom of a primary school. Working closely to provide the best support to help the children develop, learn, express themselves, meet their sensory needs, feel understood, and be their safe place at school. I’ve worked in a nursery as well, so have experience with baby’s too.

I’m really passionate about special needs and doing the best I can to really make a difference.

I am confident in my ability to provide support, and to deal with situations that may be quite challenging. I’m aware of the importance of person centred care and always do my absolute best to ensure I’m meeting the needs of those I’m supporting.

I have good communication skills and would make sure to feed back to you if I look after your children. I feel reassurance must be very important if someone is caring for your children.

I have a DBS, am level 3 paediatric first aid trained, have completed safeguarding training. And hold a level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.

I’m looking for part time work, up to 20 hours a week but am flexible. I’m happy to do school pick ups, home support, taking children out to activities, helping with homework, cooking them a meal, some household help, babysitting on an evening, and special needs support.
