About Me
I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder based in Coventry. I am registered to care for children from 6 weeks to 8 years of age. I am also registered with PACEY.
I am open Monday to Thursday 8am-5.30pm (term time) and I work flexible hours in school holidays. I offer Before and After school care for St John Vianney Primary School including drop off and pick up.
I live with my husband (DBS checked), my daughter aged 6 and 2 year old son. We have a loveable pup named Dexter and a pair of guinea pigs.
I have a valid DBS certificate and hold the relevant insurance.
I have a spacious living room and secure garden, with lots of equipment and resources to encourage child7ren to play, explore and thrive in their development and learning. (please see my photos)
Activities are planned to children's interests but can include:
-Messy play (painting, colouring, play doh, sand, water play, junk modelling)
-Cooking/baking
-Free play
-Construction
-Reading/story time
-Singing/dancing/music
-Playing in the Garden (I have various resources e.g. bikes, slides, cars, chalk and equipment, play includes, messy play, encouraging physical skills)
-Role play
We visit:
-Soft play
-Stay and play
-Lots of different baby/toddler groups
-Parks
-Library
-Walks/ woodland walks
-Shops and day to day activities (to practice social skills/routines)
-Day trips such as zoos and farms.
I am passionate in providing a safe, nurturing home from home environment where children can have fun, learn and develop their skills.
I use the baby's days paperless system to update you on your child's day including photographs of what we have been up to and also to chart your child's progress and development inline with the EYFS.
My Experience
I have over 10 years experience in childcare, ranging from Nursery Nurse, Play Leader, Before and After School Play Leader and Manager and also a Teaching Assistant. I also have experience in SEND.
My Qualifications
I have a degree in Psychology and Criminology, Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce and my CACHE Level 3 Home Based Childcare qualification. I hold the required Safeguarding (DSL) and Paediatric First Aid qualifications, Food Hygiene.
