About Me
I am an Ofsted registered Childminder and I live with my husband and our three children who are all of school age. We live on a working farm site and childcare is delivered from my home at Chapel Lane Childcare, we have pets including two dogs, eight chickens and two rabbits.
I am naturally very nurturing, I love working with children and get so much joy from seeing them progress. We love spending our days learning through lots of messy play and enjoying the great outdoors!
I accept 9 month and 2 year old funding and operate during the term time for children aged 0-3 years.
My Experience
I have worked in childcare for over 20 years in schools, nurseries and children’s centres, however childminding has been my passion for the past 12 years.

Gemma became so much more than a childminder to us — she truly became a part of our family. From the very beginning, she treated my daughter with the same love, care and compassion that she gives to her own daughters, and as a parent, there is honestly nothing more you could ask for.
My daughter was given so many wonderful experiences and opportunities during her time with Gemma, but more importantly, she was somewhere she felt completely safe, loved and valued. Gemma has had such a positive influence on her life and has played such a special part in some of her most formative years.
Entrusting someone else with your child is such a huge thing, but I never had to question whether my daughter was being cared for, comforted or loved when she was with Gemma. She went above and beyond in ways I will never forget, not only for my daughter but for me too.
We were incredibly lucky to have found her, and I will forever be grateful for everything she did for us. She will always hold a very special place in our lives and in my daughter’s childhood. ❤️

I cannot recommend Gemma enough she has provided first class care to both of our children and has been so flexible when needed. Our children were happy in her care and would often talk about all the lovely things they had been up to throughout the day.
Both children were young babies when they started going to Gemma’s, her experience with young children shone through and she was so nurturing towards them. She kept me updated on their progress and supported us with their development.
They were very well prepared for school and transitioned smoothly but they still miss Gemma lots and talk fondly of their early years spent with her.

Gemma is a superstar!
My daughter has been with Gemma for 6 months now and she is coming on leaps and bounds. Gemma is so loving and always makes my daughter feel at home, she comes home and loves to tell me what fun she’s had that day.
We couldn’t ask for a better childminder ❤️
