About Me

We are looking for a warm, energetic and reliable childminder, nanny, childcare professional, or experienced babysitter to provide childcare for my wonderful 5-year-old son during the school summer holidays.

Location: New Scarning, Dereham
When: School summer holidays (excluding the first two weeks of August)
Hours: Up to 4 hours at a time, 2-3 weekdays per week
Timing: Flexible - I work from home and can adjust my working hours around the right person's availability

My son is a bright, affectionate, funny little boy who loves imaginative play, building dens, exploring outdoors, and running around the garden. He has a huge personality, a great sense of humour, and forms strong bonds with people who take the time to get to know him.

He is currently awaiting assessment for possible neurodivergence (ADHD and ASD), so we are looking for someone who is patient, understanding, and familiar with the rigid thinking, strong preferences, and occasional challenges that can come with autistic children. Experience supporting neurodivergent children would be highly desirable.

The ideal person will:

Have plenty of energy and enjoy active play
Be patient, calm and kind
Be confident supporting a child who may sometimes become frustrated when things don't go as expected
Enjoy imaginative games, outdoor play, den building, crafts and creative activities
Be reliable and trustworthy
Have relevant childcare experience

I will usually be working from my home office while you are here, and I am flexible regarding which days and times we arrange. However, I do need childcare support on 2-3 weekdays each week so that I can focus on work for around 4 hours at a time.
