About Me
Hi! I’m Alice and I’m a 26 year old Primary Teacher, relocated to Reading a couple of years ago, and looking for some extra hours of childcare or tutoring in evenings, weekends and holidays. I’ve got 10 years of experience working with children in Nurseries and Primary school and I’m currently a Reception teacher. I have experience working with children with Epilepsy, Autism, ADHD, SEMH and hearing difficulties. I love doing crafts and messy activities (but I’m very good at tidying up after too!) I hold a full UK driving licence and have a car.
My Experience
I used to babysit regularly for a couple of families before University - including overnights, school pick-up/drop-offs, making dinner and helping with homework. I also used to volunteer at the local church’s youth centre that involved caring for, and planning activities for, 10-14 year olds.
Since then I have worked in three nurseries around my studies, and have cared for children between 8 months and 4 yrs. I was also involved in an after school club where I would provide meals, and plan indoor and outdoor activities, for children aged 5 to 11.
I have been teaching since moving to Reading for 3 years in Reception and Year 1, but also have experience from my training in teaching Year 4, Year 2 and Nursery.
My Qualifications
PGCE school direct with QTS
BA Hons degree in Early Childhood studies
GCSE’s - B in all core subjects
A levels - art, B. Health and social care, C. Psychology, C.
Understanding autism L2 mini course

My Availability
Monday-Friday all day over holidays. Available some weekends.
Once term has started I will be available some evenings and weekends.
