My Experience

I have always had the passion and drive to work with children, from the day I was legally allowed to work I have been working within childcare and I really do love it! I started off as a part time nanny which I have been doing for 4 years, the girl was 3 when I started and the boy was 6 months old. This job included duties such as: bathing them, feeding them, preparing simple meals, playing with them, putting them to bed and changing nappies, I would also take them out for walks when possible and would carry out housekeeping within the house such as laundry, hoovering, mopping and washing up. Furthermore I have worked in many primary schools coaching sports, this increased my childcare skills as I was independently working with 10-20 children aged 6-11 which has allowed me to thrive under pressure and gain more experience with different ages of children and therefore expand my knowledge on their development. I’m addition I have worked in a nursery with children ages 1-3, this developed my understanding of the EYSF as part of my day to day routine was planning educational activities for the children to participate in and keeping track of their development and growth. Another part of the day to day routine within the nursery was helping the children to potty train, helping with the preparation of their food and cleaning up. During my time at the nursery I also completed first aid training and a safe guarding course which increased the health and safety of the children.

My Qualifications

I am currently looking to work towards my level 3 in childcare.

• Nannying from £17.00 per hour (gross)
• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour

I’m flexible between £10-20 depending on the time/requirements.
